I would like to welcome all new and returning students for our Spring Quarter 2022. As we approach this new quarter, I’d like to share some recent campus headlines with you:
New Perspectives In Diversity Course Receives Positive Student Evaluations
Launched in Winter 2021, Perspectives in Diversity explores how to create and promote a more inclusive society. The new course is proving to be very popular among students, and course evaluations have been overwhelmingly positive. Learn more about the course here.
FIDM’s New Black Student Union Launches
Launched during the pandemic, the BSU promotes strength, power, and bold change by providing a space to voice opinions and frustrations, build community, and an understanding of the ever-changing perspective of Black students in an environment free from judgment. Learn more here.
Sustainability & FIDM’s Business of Denim Program on CBS LA
Department Chairperson Amanda Starling discusses slow fashion, sustainability, and waste in the denim industry with CBS LA’s “Inside SoCal” reporter Erica Olsen.
